Upgrades and Rebirth Guide: Treadmill, Pickaxes, Trails, and Resets
Complete breakdown of verified progression systems in Break and Steal A Chicken Egg, including Treadmill training, Pickaxe Shop tiers, Trail multipliers, and Rebirth reset rules.
Treadmill Training and Speed Upgrades
Movement speed governs both how far down the egg path you can safely travel and whether you meet the requirements for your next Rebirth. To build raw speed, step onto the Treadmill at your base. During early progression, the tutorial prompts you to run on the treadmill to reach 500 Speed.

While running on the machine, your character gains speed in repeating ticks. You can increase the amount earned per tick by spending cash at the Upgrade Treadmill board next to the belt. In the recorded November 7, 2026 footage, a player at 367/500 Speed is shown gaining +7 speed ticks with the Upgrade Treadmill board displaying +7 and a cost of 15K cash. Note that this 15K cash cost and +7 value represent a specific upgrade level captured in the recording, not the starting price for a fresh player.
Pickaxe Shop Tiers and Breaking Power
Upgrading your pickaxe increases your Power stat, which determines how fast you break open eggs on the field. Faster breaking times shrink the window in which Boss Chickens can catch you standing still. You can buy and equip stronger tools at the Pickaxe Shop near your base.

| Pickaxe Name | Rarity | Recorded Power | Recorded Cost / Status (Nov 7, 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wooden Pickaxe | Common | 1 Power | Starter tool |
| Stone Pickaxe | Common | 10 Power | Shown as Bought and Equipped in early tutorial |
| Iron Pickaxe | Uncommon | 50 Power | 800 Cash |
Because the jump from 1 Power (Wooden) to 10 Power (Stone) and 50 Power (Iron) is massive and costs only 800 cash for Iron in the recorded build, upgrading your pickaxe early is one of the highest-value ways to speed up chicken collection. Keep in mind that shop prices can change in future game updates.
Trail Shop Speed Multipliers
In addition to training raw speed on the treadmill, you can multiply your movement speed by equipping trails from the Trail Shop. The recorded footage reveals five trails spanning Common to Legendary rarity, with lower tiers displaying both an in-game cash price and an optional paid currency button.

| Trail Name | Rarity | Speed Multiplier | Recorded Cost (Nov 7, 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| White Trail | Common | x1.5 Speed | 100 Cash (or 14 paid option) |
| Blue Trail | Uncommon | x2 Speed | 5K Cash (or 25 paid option) |
| Green Trail | Rare | x2.5 Speed | Shown Equipped in recording |
| Purple Trail | Epic | x3 Speed | 1.5M Cash |
| Fire Trail | Legendary | x3.5 Speed | 30M Cash |
The tutorial buys the White Trail early. Compare your current trail, cash and next training goal before buying another tier. The displayed multiplier describes the trail in the recording; this review did not measure exact escape success rates or establish a universal purchase order.
Rebirth Requirements, Rewards, and What Resets
Rebirthing is the primary long-term scaling mechanic in Break and Steal A Chicken Egg. According to the official description and the in-game Rebirth panel, rebirthing grants increases to your Cash Boost and Range in exchange for resetting specific progression stats.

- Prerequisite: Read the target Speed requirement on your current Rebirth panel. A later recorded panel shows Speed 0/50K. This value belongs to that stage; a complete threshold table has not been verified.
- Reward: Completing the rebirth shown in the recording grants +x1.5 Cash and +Range 11.
- Reset warning: The panel explicitly names Speed, Treadmill and Cash. Persistence of chickens, pickaxes and other items has not been fully verified.
- Choice: The panel has a standard REBIRTH button and a separate SKIP option marked Keeps Everything with a displayed cost of 9. Paid behavior and currency were not tested; inspect the current purchase dialog before deciding.
- Recovery planning: Expect to rebuild the reset speed, treadmill and cash. Check your base and remaining items after the reset, then follow the available training and earning options. Do not rely on an unverified persistence rule.
